Amoru is designed to be private by default. There are no accounts, and your data lives on your device.
Everything you enter — names, notes, important dates, memory vault entries, photos, and cycle information — is stored locally on your iPhone. Cycle information (dates you enter with your partner's consent) never leaves your device and is never included in any backup or AI request. AI requests may include a general label such as "Energy Phase," but never dates or health details.
When you use AI features, the relevant text (for example, a taste profile or a city name) and any screenshots you choose to analyze are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards them to OpenRouter, Inc. to generate a response. We do not store the content of these requests, and we have disabled prompt logging with our AI provider. If you use the "nearby ideas" feature, your approximate location is included in that single request and not retained.
The cycle-awareness feature requires you to confirm your partner has shared this information with you. You (or your partner, at any time) can delete cycle data from the person's profile, or erase everything via Settings → Delete All My Data. Deleting the app also deletes all data.
